Why aren’t Peptides FDA approved?

(Hint: The process is long and expensive)
Did you know it takes an average of 10-15 YEARS for a drug to make it through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval process?
Ever wonder why drugs are so expensive?
The FDA approval process can cost Millions or BILLIONS of dollars.
Big Pharma is the only player with that kind of money, and they don’t love peptides. Why? Because peptides are hard to patent, address the root cause of health issues, and tend to get people off of drugs (!).
Some peptides have bridged that gap of FDA approval, most notably the weight loss ones, Melanotan 1, and PT-141.
But whether you buy research peptides or a brand name from a pharmacy, it’s the same peptide and will accomplish the same thing. They probably even come from the same original source (peptides labeled as “Made in the USA” are often imported in bulk powder form and just bottled here, but aren’t actually produced here).
Peptides are health-promoting, occur naturally in the body, and have few if any side effects.
Bottom Line? Most peptides are overwhelmingly safe and effective, but will never have FDA approval. Make sure you get them from a source with 3rd party testing of each batch!
