Detox
We live in a toxic world. But there is something we can do about it.
Medical Disclaimer

Detoxification is the process of supporting the body’s ability to bind, move, and eliminate unwanted substances. This can be done internally and externally. The approaches below are foundational detox tools commonly used to reduce toxic burden and support digestion, lymphatic flow, and overall resilience.

Internal Detox
ZeoCharge

Zeolite is a naturally occurring mineral that binds to heavy metals and other toxins without chelating essential vitamins or minerals. It is commonly used as a gentle binder to reduce toxic load.
General use: Start with a higher dose and taper down over time, as tolerated.
Notes: Zeolite is an inert mineral structure that attracts and holds toxins as it passes through the digestive tract. Education resources are available through the manufacturer, including information on testing with tools like the Oligoscan.

Diatomaceous Earth
Food-grade diatomaceous earth is a silica-based powder used to support digestion and detoxification within the gastrointestinal tract.
General use: Start very low and increase gradually as tolerated.
Notes: As it moves through the digestive system, diatomaceous earth can attract and bind bacteria, fungi, protozoa, parasites, endotoxins, pesticide residues, drug residues, and some heavy metals. These are carried out of the body through normal bowel movements. Some people find it works best when paired with other binders.
Food-grade only. Do not inhale the powder.

Liver and Gallbladder Cleanse
The liver and gallbladder play a central role in detoxification through bile production and recycling. When bile flow is sluggish or obstructed, digestion, fat metabolism, and toxin clearance can be impaired.

Some people choose to support bile flow using structured liver and gallbladder flushes that incorporate magnesium (Epsom salts), apple juice, olive oil, and citrus. These approaches are intended to encourage bile release and improve digestive efficiency.

This is considered an optional, situational detox tool, not a starting point for everyone.

Aluminum Detox - Silica
Silica is one of the most effective supports for reducing aluminum burden. Orthosilicic acid provides silica in a highly absorbable form and is commonly used to support aluminum detox, connective tissue health, and structural integrity of hair, skin, and nails.

Silica water can be purchased or prepared at home. Proper stabilization helps prevent polymerization, which can reduce absorption.

Aluminum Detox - Malic Acid
Malic acid supports cellular energy production and may help reduce aluminum-related fatigue, muscle pain, and brain fog. It plays a role in binding aluminum and supporting its excretion while also improving mitochondrial function and magnesium utilization.

Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal is a broad-spectrum binder commonly used to help clear unwanted toxins from the digestive tract.

General use: Start low and increase slowly.

Notes: Activated charcoal binds to toxins and heavy metals, not to vitamins or minerals. Temporary symptoms sometimes attributed to charcoal may reflect detox reactions as toxins are mobilized and eliminated.

MSM Sulfur

MSM is a sulfur compound used to support detox pathways, connective tissue, and inflammation balance.

General use: Start low and increase gradually as tolerated.

Notes: Sulfur is an essential component of detoxification pathways. Dietary sources such as eggs can also contribute sulfur.

External Detox

Dry Skin Brushing

Dry skin brushing supports lymphatic movement and circulation.
General use: Brush from the extremities toward the heart, typically before bed or before showering.
Notes: This practice helps move waste products toward elimination pathways and may support relaxation and sleep.

Ionic Foot Baths

Ionic foot baths are sometimes used as an external detox support.

Notes: Toxins may accumulate in the feet due to gravity. The discoloration of foot bath water occurs regardless of whether feet are present and does not, by itself, confirm detoxification. The potential benefit is thought to come from localized stimulation and circulation rather than water color.
