Whole vs Skim - All Things Dairy Part 2

Repeat after me:

FAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT

  1. Fat makes you satisfied.

  2. Fat holds vitamins. Skim milk production has to add vitamins back into the milk, but without the fat they are not digested very well.

  3. Real foods have the least processing. Whole milk is the closest to how it arrives in nature.

Now, if you or your family drink milk, consider switching to whole milk. While you are at it, switch to whole fat greek yogurt, put real heavy cream in your coffee, and eat real cheese. Fat does not make you fat.   See the article below for some scientific data, and a laugh.

Bottom Line?    The vitamins in skim milk are not digested as well, and fat in our diet makes us feel full and satisfied. It’s the sugar and carbs in our diet that make us fat.
