What is a mineral blockade?

Direct answer

A pattern where a mineral reads high on testing and the cell still cannot use it. The mineral is present but stuck outside the cell, or bound where it cannot function. A high reading is evidence of presence, not of availability, which is why adding more of that mineral usually does not help.
