Part 2 — Shock, Stress, and the Biological Origin Story

German New Medicine, Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer, and the Nervous System’s First Move
If cancer were purely a genetic accident, timing wouldn’t matter. But it does.
German New Medicine (GNM) began with a personal catastrophe.
Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer was a cancer physician when his teenage son was accidentally shot and later died. Shortly after, Hamer developed testicular cancer.
Rather than dismissing the timing as coincidence, he began asking a forbidden question:
What if sudden emotional shock triggers predictable biological responses?
Shock Before Symptoms
Instead of dismissing the timing as coincidence, Dr. Hamer began systematically reviewing patient histories — looking for correlations between sudden emotional shock and the onset of disease.
What he believed he found was consistency.
Years later, when authorities reviewed Hamer’s case files, reports indicated that approximately 92% of his cancer patients were still alive six years later — a statistic that remains controversial, debated, and largely ignored by mainstream institutions.
That number does not prove causation. But it does raise questions worth asking.
German New Medicine suggests that biological change begins with an unexpected, isolating, emotionally overwhelming shock.
According to GNM, this shock registers simultaneously in:
· the psyche
· the brain
· the corresponding organ or tissue
Before cells mutate or tumors appear:
· the autonomic nervous system shifts
· blood flow patterns change
· repair mechanisms pause
· electrical signaling destabilizes
From this view, stress is not psychological fluff. It is a biological event.
Stress Comes Before Voltage Loss
German New Medicine places the initiating event upstream of chemistry and electricity.
The sequence looks like this:
· unexpected shock or unresolved conflict
· prolonged nervous system activation
· altered signaling and blood flow
· reduced cellular voltage and polarity loss
Low voltage is not the cause. It is the downstream effect.
Why This Makes People Uncomfortable
German New Medicine challenges a core medical assumption:
That disease happens randomly, and meaning is irrelevant.
GNM does not frame illness as punishment or blame. It frames it as adaptation.
The body is responding — often intelligently — to perceived threat.
Even without accepting every mapping or conclusion, modern science already confirms:
· trauma alters immune function
· chronic stress reshapes inflammation
· unresolved stress impairs repair and regeneration
German New Medicine simply insists on asking the question earlier:
What happened in the nervous system before the tissue changed?
