As an athlete, Dawn has been training with Ed to breath through her nose rather than her mouth. Yes, even when running! Nasal breathing can emphasize the parasympathetic “Rest and Digest” part of the body rather than “Fight or Flight” sympathetic nervous system. And it hot weather, it can mean you lose less moisture through breathing.

This came in handy during a recent long, hot Spartan Ultra in the desert of Colorado. Dawn used nasal breathing to keep a steady pace in the heat while carrying heavy sandbags and navigating other obstacles. She found that it made the second half of the race less brutal. Dawn ended up on the Elite podium for the first time!

NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SPORT. Through specialized breath techniques and sequences, you'll cultivate greater oxygen utilization and improve CO2 tolerance, tap into flow states, increase power, strength, speed & endurance. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a fitness enthusiast, Ed's training philosophy will revolutionize the way you train.
