Can you be Overweight AND Healthy?

There are entire magazines and many influencers devoted to telling you that being overweight is just fine.

But what does the science say?

According to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6179534/, the terms “healthy obesity”, “benign obesity” and “obesity paradox” are misnomers. Overweight and obesity are the fastest-growing causes of morbidity and death in the U.S. Being overweight makes you more likely to have cardiovascular problems and die from all-cause mortality.

Being overweight or obese increases your toxic load. Oligoscan results show a correlation between higher body weight and higher heavy metal levels.

Is this a chicken or the egg paradox? Well, no.  Your fat cells grow larger to accommodate more heavy metals, because fat cells are the equivalent of cold storage for toxins. Heavy metals getting locked away in fat keep you from feeling sick or having detox reactions. When this happens day in and day out, fat cells keep growing larger and larger to hold them all in.

To lose fat, you need to do some detox. It also helps if you stop taking in more toxins at the same time, especially through processed food, the largest source of toxins in our world. Intermittent fasting, ZeoCharge, and/or a liver cleanse may help, but it takes time. For more info see our detox page at:

Bottom Line?  Carrying extra weight puts more stress on your organs, joints, heart, and breathing. It puts you more at risk for cancer, diabetes, heart disease and all cause mortality. It is also preventable and fixable.
